Redemption of Faith portrays the crossing of the Yam Suf not only as a physical salvation, but as an inner transformation. As the Jewish people move forward through the sea, they experience a profound awakening—a new level of belief born from witnessing Hashem’s presence firsthand. With each step, faith deepens until it is no longer something they express, but something they become. In the painting, the figures gradually dissolve into the very words of their tefillah, embodying the idea that their souls merge with belief itself. The verses of Az Yashir rise above the waves and shimmer within the water, unfolding across the sea as living expressions of gratitude and awe. Below, the Egyptian horses and chariots are not depicted in form, but in meaning: the words of the prayer invert, and tumble downward, swallowed by the crashing waves. The painting is called Redemption of Faith because the redemption at the sea did more than save a nation—it strengthened their emunah to an unprecedented level. Through this awakening, they were refined and uplifted, becoming worthy of their destiny as the chosen people, soon to stand at Sinai and receive the Torah.
